Overcast and cool again, but no rain – ideal walking conditions, but not what you expect in Spain in July. Much of the walk to Pamplona (Cathederal city of bull run fame) was on a narrow path through a dense wooded area, with just the forrest and a mountain stream for company – great.
There is great comraderie on the Camino. It is amazing how a common goal (in this case the next destination ) can turn strangers, who barely, in many cases, share a common language, into mutually supportive friends. People look out for other walkers and if anybody is nursing an injury or, as happened in one case I witnessed, had passport and money stolen, help is readily at hand.
Maybe if we had more common goals there would be fewer `strangers´.
