Another 7am start and another day of climbs and decents through woodland for the section between Roncesvalles and Zubeiri – 22kms in drizzle rain.
I prefer the stretches where I have no idea what is around the next corner. No knowing seems to make the journey more exciting and enjoyable. Also, not knowing about the challenging bits in advance means that there is no opportunity to worry about them in advance (pointless) – great !
While we always need to plan for the future to a certain extent maybe living more day to day (without knowing what is around the next corner) is a better way to live.
