Listen to your intuition

We are creatures of habit and this tends to extend to the way we make decisions. We naturally take into account the factors we took into account the last time we made a similar decision, or we are influenced by the ‘shoulds’ and ‘musts’ of others, perhaps unconsciously.

But there is so much more to us than our ‘logical’ minds. We have powerful intuition, which typically has a ‘quiet voice’ so we need to slow down if we are to hear it’s wisdom.

Our creativity also comes from our intuitive mind. This is where we will get  answers which take into account all the subleties of a particular situation, rather than rely on ‘off the shelf’ solutions.

Remember the last time you made a decision you came to regret. You may remember having doubts but did not pause to listen to what may have been the voice of your intuition speaking  to you.

Vague doubts, hunches, instincts, gut feelings etc are all too easily dismissed.  On the other hand they may be unwarranted fears arising from past experience, which may or may not be relevant to the current situation.

So which is it ?

There is no easy answer to this question but it is best to listen to your second thoughts/feelings and give yourself time to figure out what might be behind them. Your intuitive mind might be sending you a signal to do more research, to consider another option or just hold back for a while. Leave time for quiet reflection before deciding on a particular path, particularly for important decisions.
